When you fill up at the pump you probably do not worry about the octane you put into your gas tank.  It is a pretty everyday thing regardless of if you are driving a Hiace Wagon or looking for a Vitz for sale to supplement the vehicles already in your arsenal.  Knowing how octane works could be the difference between your vehicle running smoothly and the engine knocking enough to cause some costly repairs.  It is also important to understand how cleaning agents work in your engine.

Octane is the measure of the gasoline’s ability to prevent engine knocking.  The higher the octane in the gasoline, the less chance there is that your engine will knock and have problems.  You should read the user’s manual for your car so that you know what the best octane rating is for your vehicle.  If you use a low octane gasoline in a car that is designed to run best with high octane gas, you could experience knocking, shuddering, and performance loss.  Engines today can sense this knocking and will adjust itself to prevent any serious damage.  However, the longer you use a low octane fuel, the more you are putting your car in jeopardy.

Not every car like Chariot Grandis is the same and some cars will run better on low octane gasoline than on high octane.  It will not harm your engine if you use a gasoline with a higher octane rating than what is recommended.  Sometimes a higher octane will help any engine knocking that an older car is experiencing although you should have your car serviced if it starts knocking.  A high performance vehicle should always have the specified octane rating used in it at all times.

Adding a cleaning agent to your engine every so often will help remove harmful deposits that build up over time.  When this happens, the gunk acts like a sponge and it can trap gasoline.  This results in decreased engine performance of Demio.  Even though your fuel may have detergents in them to help keep your engine clean, sometimes it is not enough.  Adding a cleaning agent will clear all of the gunk from your system and make your vehicle run the way it should.

Remember that keeping your vehicle in top running condition is as easy as using a good gasoline and cleaning agent in your cars systems.  Preventative maintenance is also essential to keeping your vehicle from breaking down.  When used in conjunction with one another, your car can last you a good long time.

If you are looking for second hand cars that are popular and will not break your pocketbook consider a used Nissan Maxima.  Better yet, with vehicle prices being down, why not consider a newer Nissan Maxima or Nissan Cube for sale?  With the 2010 model year quickly coming upon us, you could very well pick up a 2009 Nissan Maxima through a Japanese car exporter for a fraction of the price you would pay a half of Elf in the United States.  You owe it to yourself to look into this possibility.  After all, we know that Japanese cars are reliable, safe, and fuel efficient.

One of the nicest Nissans for sale, the Maxima was taken off of the Nissan production line for a few years and brought back for the 2009 model year.  It is actually smaller than Maximas that have gone before it, losing 1.9 inches in the wheelbase, a half an inch in the height, and four inches from the length.  One could say that Nissan streamlined this car for the 2009 model year, making it sportier without losing the fuel efficiency Nissan fans are used to.

But all of these changes to size are made up for by the engine that is under the hood.  The 2009 Nissan Maxima comes with a 3.5 liter V6 engine that has been completely redesigned with new intake valves, a better exhaust system, and reshaped pistons.  The newly remodeled engine provides drivers with 290 hp that produces 261 pounds per feet of torque.  With 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 on the highway, you can bet the 2009 Nissan Maxima is going to get you where you need to go efficiently.

While not normally considered a sports car, Nissan made enough changes to the Maxima to earn the title.  It is only available in sport and manual transmission - both with CVT transmission option - and you are able to switch seamlessly between the two.  The exterior of the car has been streamlined as well and it comes now with wrap around headlight, 18 or 19 inch alloy wheels, and your choice of eight different colors.  All of the seats are bucket style including the back seats, and the car can seat four with the back armrest down or five when it is put up.

Add to the car a moon roof, XM satellite radio, and blue tooth wireless for those hands free calls, and you have got a great vehicle that is going to give you great performance.  And even if you do not want to sink your money into the new 2009 Maxima, you will appreciate the performance of a well taken care of second hand Nissan for sale.

If you are looking for a vehicle to invest in that is compact with the versatility of an SUV, do not go for a cheap Nissan competitor.  Go for a Toyota Rav4.  The Rav4 is actually a crossover SUV developed and manufactured by Toyota and it was introduced into the American market in 1996 in an effort to meet consumer demands.  Consumers at the time were looking for a vehicle that offered them the versatility of an SUV with the fuel economy and maneuverability of a car.  The Rav4 was so popular that it spurred a bunch of other compact SUVs to enter the market, such as the Honda CR-V, the Ford Escape, and the Subaru Forester.

Rav4 actually stands for “Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-Wheel Drive”.  Not all Rav4ﾕs come with four wheel drive and it is optional in some markets as an add on package.  It is the only compact SUV that Toyota sells and it has been on the market long enough that you should be able to find used Toyota Rav4 vehicles at your local used car dealership.  It was built on the same platform as the Corolla and came with a 2.0 liter engine.  In front wheel drive and four wheel drive, the Rav4 came with a four speed automatic transmission or a five speed manual transmission.

In 1998 Toyota changed the style of the Rav4 and introduced it as a soft top two door model solely for the American market.  The front and rear fascias were changed and the horsepower was boosted to about 127.  The following model year the two door hard top was discontinued from the American market and it left consumers the choice of the 4 door hard top model and the 2 door soft top.  There was also an all-electric Rav4 model offered in California on a limited basis.  It was a zero emission version of the vehicle that met the EPA regulations in the state.  They are very hard to find and anyone looking for one of these models will have to do a lot of searching.

If you are going to invest in a Rav4, consider skipping the first generation of the vehicle.  These were underpowered and they did not get the gas mileage that was advertised.  This was because they were equipped with the 3SFE engines designed for the Camry and 1987 to 1989 model year Celicas.  The concern was addressed when the second generation of Rav4s was released by Toyota and the new engine design lasted in to the third generation of the vehicle.

When you are looking for a vehicle that is both practical and fun then you want a Toyota Caldina Wagon GT-T.  Not only does this vehicle provide you with all of the functionality of the regular Caldina Wagon, it gives you the power that comes with a turbo engine.  To look at the Caldina Wagon GT-T you would think that it was a dead ringer for the Corona Wagon.  In actuality it is a few generations removed from the Corona Wagon, especially the one that was originally sold in the United States.  In 2002 the Caldina Wagon went from looking conservative to being flashy and stylish and this change in appearance helped make it aero dynamic and a far cry from the other mid-sized wagons produced by Toyota over the years.

In the United States the Caldina Wagon GT-T is offered in a 2.0 liter engine, turbo charged and kicking out 112 kW of power.  However, Toyotas used to hold their value much more than they do today simply because they have saturated the market worldwide.  You are looking at paying anywhere from $34,000 at used car dealers for an older model, but when you compare this price to the cost of a new one, it is a considerable savings.  If you want to get a Caldina Wagon for even less than this, you can export one from Japan through an export dealer and the vehicle you get could come with some of the original warranty still intact.

While it is considered a performance wagon, the Caldina Wagon GT-T is only offered in a four speed automatic.  This is one of the few downsides to the vehicle, but most people who own them do not seem to mind too much.  Part of the reason behind this is because the wagon was originally designed for the Japanese market.  Going from zero to sixty in 8.6 seconds, however, makes up for the lack of an extra speed on the transmission.  It is not an overly sporty vehicle, but it runs smoothly and is a great family vehicle.

The Caldina Wagon GT-T definitely comes packed with plenty of amenities that drivers today want.  With automatic climate control, dual airbags, ABS brakes, remote central locking, traction control and vehicle stability system, it is perfect for those long road trips and family events.  Remember, however, that this version of the Caldina Wagon is turbo charged, so it will not be quite as fuel efficient as you may hope for.
